At British Primary School of Wilanow students aged 11 - 13 take the lead in their learning through the Cambridge Secondary programme. With subject-specialist teaching and rich enquiry-based learning, learners grow in confidence, independence and academic strength. Students explore new passions, sharpen their thinking and build leadership and communication skills in a supportive, internationally minded environment, preparing for success in IGCSE and beyond.
Students excel with the Cambridge framework, building deep knowledge in English, Maths and Science while developing strong study habits to prepare for top high school destinations offering the IB Diploma Programme or A-Levels.
Students sharpen critical thinking, collaboration and resilience across subjects and co-curricular projects. They reflect on progress, set goals and develop habits of inquiry that help them grow as independent thinkers and compassionate team players.
In our school in Warsaw, students become confident communicators in English, Polish and French. With engaging lessons, EAL support and cultural celebrations, they build fluency and global competence, reaching B2 proficiency in English by the end of Key Stage 3.
Students receive personalised mentoring and exam support as they prepare for  Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint and End of Primary School state examinations and local assessments, building confidence as they step into Key Stage 4.
Students learn from subject specialists teachers in languages, science, mathematics, arts, PE and drama, deepening knowledge, building skills and developing a lifelong love of learning beyond the classroom.

Students can begin their day at 7.30am with a calm start and a healthy morning meal at our Breakfast Club. From 3.30pm to 5pm, they take part in activities, games and crafts that support their development beyond the classroom.

BSW students consistently exceeding global averages and their progress is measured against international benchmarks. Students at BSW in Warsaw embrace the values of Respect, Consideration, Cooperation, Nobility and Courage through the Walk of the Lion. These values are explored through specific tasks and activities that promote mutual respect, teamwork, peer assessment, independence and self-confidence. In addition, Secondary students focus on developing key competencies for High School, including interview techniques, presentation skills and collaboration.
Our Secondary Lions expand their language skills with English, Polish and French. Supported by interactive learning tools, project-based tasks and multilingual resources, students are fully prepared by Key Stage 3 with at least B2 proficiency in English, meeting higher education standards and ready for global opportunities. Students are supported in valuing their home language through a variety of initiatives, such as Mother Tongue Day, International Wee and cultural events. The school fosters an immersive English environment while celebrating diversity. French is offered as part of the curriculum, further enhancing students’ multilingual abilities.
